How do I schedule an appointment?

Call Labyrinth Counseling at 630-305-5702 to request an appointment, press “0” to leave a message in the Main Mailbox.

You will receive a callback from one of our therapists within one business day. We will gather basic information and set up an initial appointment.

Also, you can go to Our Practitioner listing, view pictures and biographies to choose your own Psychotherapist or Behavioral Analyst and contact them directly.

What should I expect in my first appointment?

We will ask you to arrive about fifteen minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out initial paperwork, some of which can be found by going to Forms. Also, please remember to bring your insurance card with you to this first visit to Labyrinth.

Your therapist will greet you and show you to her/his office where you will begin your healing journey together. You may feel nervous about this first appointment and that is natural as you are meeting your new therapist for the first time. We will take time to acclimate to the environment and allow your nervous system to settle and arrive.

This first meeting is a time to share what you would like to work on and your goals for your time in therapy. We will have questions for you and invite you to ask questions of your therapist and the process.

Can I use my health insurance for services at Labyrinth Counseling?

All Labyrinth therapists are in network with Blue Cross/Blue Shield (BCBS) of Illinois PPO and BlueCross/Blue Choice. We are able to bill other PPO insurance plans as “Out of Network Providers.” How much your plan will pay for “Out of Network” coverage may vary. As a service to you, we will check your insurance benefits after the first session. If you would like to know before the first session, we recommend that you call the number on the back of your insurance card to check for coverage.

Here are some questions that may be helpful to ask your insurance company:

  • What are my outpatient mental health benefits?

  • What is my annual deductible amount and has it been met this benefit year?

  • If you do not have BCBS ask: What are my “out of network” mental health benefits?

  • What is my co-pay or co-insurance amount?
